A few practical questions
What is free, and what carries a fee?
Core organization setup and planning tools are free to use. Payment transactions can carry platform and processing fees, shown in the relevant checkout.
What fees apply to donations and event tickets?
The current donation checkout shows a $2 CAD Orqestra platform fee and applicable Stripe processing costs. Paid event ticket checkout is not yet available; its fees will be shown before payment when released.
Can registered charities issue official donation receipts through Orqestra?
Not currently. A payment confirmation is not an official charitable donation receipt. Please use your organization’s established receipting process.
Can organizations import an existing volunteer list?
Yes. Authorized managers can import volunteer contacts into their organization workspace. An imported contact does not automatically get an Orqestra account.
Do volunteers need an account?
People need an account to apply through Orqestra. Organizations can also manage volunteers who do not have platform accounts in their own roster.
